“Once Anna [Wintour] decides what the theme is, it’s kind of like I’m picking that. Camp: Notes on Fashion (2019)
The Met Gala is arguably one of the most notable fashion events celebrities attend every year. That being said, Dua Lipa understood the assignment regarding the theme inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay Notes on Camp for her red carpet debut.
The British singer dressed to impress with a low-cut Versace psychedelic print gown and a gilded belt at her waist to hold two ample fabric folds. Underneath, the then-24-year-old wore tights and stilettos with matching prints that blended so well with the dress that it’s possible to miss it.
For the finishing touches, Lipa accessorized with Vram and KatKim rings and playfully colored nails by Mei Kawajiri.
Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty (2023)
Just four years after making her Met Gala debut, Dua Lipa co-chaired the event for 2023. If that’s not impressive enough, the Grammy Award winner also wore the iconic Lucida Star Necklace from Tiffany & Co. — a dazzling piece with over 100 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds reportedly valued at over $10 million.
She attended the event in an archival piece once worn by Claudia Schiffer. It featured a corset waist and a fringed hem with black-lined fabric that elevated the look of the ball gown.
The “Dance the Night” singer’s black hair fell in soft waves, perfectly completing the regal ensemble. Makeup-wise, she finished the look with winged eyeliner and a brown nude lipstick.
