As she prepares for the release of her debut album, Chlöe unveils her latest musical offering “Treat Me.” The song serves as her first official release of the year, coming off the heels of last year’s colossal track “Have Mercy,” which has amassed 63 million YouTube views to date and was certified Gold by RIAA earlier this January.
“You know you go broke tryna handle me / Take it from someone who know how to handle me,” she sings on the opening verse. The chorus of the track samples Bubba Sparxxx’s 2005 smash hit and twerk anthem “Ms. New Booty” featuring Ying Yang Twins, interpolating the track as a way to assert dominance in the relationship with her partner and thus, telling them how she wants to be treated.
Accompanied by a visual effort, the “Treat Me” music video is directed by Diana Kunst, who notably worked with FKA twigs and Central Cee this past year. Similarly, the visuals use red and gold hues while using black and white in others. Watch Chlöe’s latest video below.
