From Australia to Rome, Zendaya has been traveling the world promoting her latest film, Challengers. Not only did she serve in this tennis movie, but she also served looks on the press tours.
On Tuesday (April 16), the CFDA Fashion Icon Awardee tapped into her character’s sexier side when she attended the movie’s Los Angeles premiere wearing a custom Vera Wang lingerie gown. The dress featured a lace-adorned bustier with delicate spaghetti straps and corset detailing, seamlessly flowing into a voluminous pink and black skirt.
For this red carpet, Zendaya’s makeup and hairstyle were relatively simple. She had on-fleek eyebrows, pink blush for the cheeks, and lipstick layered with pink lipgloss. The star also accessorized with a silver Bulgari ring and earrings and finished the look with a loose updo.
In an interview with E! News, the actress said, “Law and I, obviously, we’ve been working together for so many years, and we’ve been doing theme dresses. I don’t know. It just kind of adds this layer of protection and confidence. I get to kind of create these characters—almost like in films—that I get to go out and embody. So we have fun building these different characters during the press tour and drawing influence and inspiration from the film that I get to be in.”
During the film’s promotion, Roach and Zendaya never missed serving outfits from athletic to classy or a combination of both. It’s hard to believe that the 27-year-old considers herself shy, given that she oozes so much confidence in every event. She admitted in the same interview, “Being on the shier side… I know. Why do I do this for a living if I’m a shy person? I ask myself that every day.”
Amid a busy schedule for her latest film, Zendaya shared images from a Vogue cover story on her social media account. One shows her elegantly in a red floral ensemble, while the other has a playful, sporty look. In any case, she slayed in both. A comment from a fan received a little less than 5,000 likes at the time of this writing. It read, “Models better be thanking the man above every day that this woman chose acting as her main career.”
