Woolrich revisits its extensive archive for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Iconic staples merge with eco-friendly fabrics and vivid patterns for a fresh aesthetic, whilst also paying homage to its love for the outdoors. The collection is divided into three separate vignettes: “Pennsylvania Walk,” “American Road Trip” and “Lakeside Summer.”
The “Pennsylvania Walk” merges themes of contemporary fashion with hints of tradition as highlighted by quilted offer jackets and outwear pieces in muted colorways that boast the state’s national flower: the Mountain Laurel. Furthermore, several of the garments don check patterns and elements such as floral quilted. Taking a similar approach, the “American Road Trip” contains natural hues of green, pink, beige, and other earthy tones in camouflage patterns. It’s a bit more vivid in terms of design, but still maintains the common theme of tradition.
Elsewhere, the “Lakeside Summer” iteration pulls inspiration from waterside activities like fishing or kayaking, further cemented by the use of natural cotton and linen. Nautical madras checks and printed poplin designs appear across the pieces and several others within the drop are made of lightweight fabrics.
