The GRIDLIFE Alpine Horizon Festival returns to Pikes Peak International Raceway on Friday, September 9 through Sunday, September 11 with its signature blend of cutting-edge festival production, two nights of ripping hip-hop, emo, and rock music from world-famous acts, and industry-leading on-and-off-track motorsports events and high-caliber car showcases.
Pioneer of emo-trap Trippie Redd, emo-rock legends Taking Back Sunday, hip-hop and metal hybrids City Morgue, and genre-bending pop-punker Sueco will all be making their GRIDLIFE Alpine Horizon premiere headlining performances. Not only will renowned underground rapper Xavier Wulf be returning to the GRIDLIFE Alpine Horizon stage, but he will also be showcasing his own car there.
For three days, GRIDLIFE Alpine Horizon unites vehicle cultures from all across the nation, bringing together hundreds of amateur and professional drivers as well as thousands of fans and festival campers. Elite drifting featuring prominent automotive personalities and professional Formula Drift racers is included in the GRIDLIFE on-and-off-track presentation, providing an alternative to the high-octane spectator experience.
As many as one hundred drift vehicles have been given the green light to compete in this year’s festival, making it the most ambitious event of its kind to date. Special off-road activities, such as the Rally Sprints on the site’s two-mile dirt track and the off-road skills course, are also a part of the festival. NightShift sessions, when drift vehicles are launched onto a colorfully lighted racetrack in between musical performances, creating a magnificent, brilliant laser display with their tire smoke, will also return.
