Artwork for Nonsense by Topp

Today, Compton native Topp released his debut single, “Nonsense.” He’s the newest signee to Metro Boomin’s Boominati imprint, and in alignment with the trap superstar, he brings an undeniable and uniquely trap-influenced energy to the Compton rap scene. However, he calls on Dallas’ Bedo to make the record a cross-cultural event, as they trade bars encompassing their upbringings and dangerous lifestyles.

Topp is one of the most recent in a lineage of producers-turned-rappers (he’s worked with Migos, Lil Durk, Juice WRLD, and more), but with “Nonsense,” he proves why he is here to stay. While carrying his weight as a rapper, he also produced the track alongside two of his fellow 808 Mafia members, Tre Pounds, and Tarentino.

“Nonsense” sets the precedent for what is to come from Topp’s upcoming producer-artist project. Check out the song below!
