Raleigh-based rapper Toosii shares his new single and accompanying video “Love Is…,” detailing the aftermath of a break-up and all the emotions encompassed within one. The song samples Julia Michael’s 2021 record “Love Is Weird,” pulled from her debut album Not In Chronological Order.
Directed by Noratchetss, who previously collaborated with the musicians on such videos as “Secrets” and “Traumatized,” the latest offering sees Toosii reflecting on a relationship’s tragic end. The visuals clock in just under four minutes and was shot in Los Angeles. “Love Is…” arrives on the heels of “Keeper,” his first official song of the year that subsequently revealed that his longtime girlfriend Samaria Davis was pregnant. The pair welcomed their first child, Ezrah, together in June.
Later this year, the rapper will perform at Rolling Loud Miami on July 23 and in New York on September 25. Expect more music to come soon, but in the meantime, listen to “Love Is…” below.
