With the release of her brand-new track “Giants,” the electro-pop diva Tiggi Hawke returns with a fresh sound. It is the first song highlighting Tiggi’s new creative path, combining her characteristic electronic music with delicate vocals and her unmistakably expert lyrics.
“Giants” is produced by the infectiously energetic Jaded, who has received backing from Diplo, Claptone, and John Summit; and co-written by Sydney-born, US platinum-holding vocalist and songwriter Mali-Koa, who has collaborated with G-Eazy, Sigma, and Laconic. It is accompanied with an ethereal music video depicting Tiggi in extraterrestrial attire and make-up amid vast natural surroundings, representing her personality and passion for science fiction and futuristic technology.
Tiggi Hawke shares in regard to the song, “While I don’t want to push my interpretation of ‘Giants’ on other people, it’s a song of personal liberation for me. ‘Giants’ really reflects my internal journey since the last single and how making my new music has made me feel. It’s definitely a move in a different direction from my previous music, but I’ve never felt more myself than while this was being written, and going through the process of production and visuals.”
She adds, “It’s been amazingly freeing to work on this with some of the most talented people who have, possibly without knowing, really helped me personally as well and I can’t wait for it to be out in the world!” Watch the video below.
Elsewhere in music, Rina Sawayama shares the title track from her forthcoming album Hold The Girl.
