Continuing to the momentum for the recently released Dawn FM, The Weeknd shares the music video for “Gasoline” off the full-length release.

Directed by Matilda Finn, the intense visual effort opens to ants crawling on the hearing aid of the Abel, before he enters a nightclub. Throughout the song, he describes his parasitic relationship with a current lover, hence visual references in the music video. Using them as a crutch for his erratic drug problems, The Weeknd begs his lover not to let him go, as they are the only thing that he has at this point.

The first-week projections of Dawn FM are somewhere between 150,000 to 170,000 units in its first week without any physical products. In comparison, 2020’s After Hours earned 444,000 album units in its first week including 275,000 in pure album sales. Check out the five-minute cut below.
