Unlike other colors—including green, orange, and pink—you’ll be at a roadblock searching for several of the older releases.
Below, we rounded up some of the best purple Dunks on the market today. Continue scrolling to find everything from Lakers-inspired silhouettes to the classic two-tone color blocking that works seamlessly with everything in your closet.
Dunk Low Championship Purple
The Nike Dunk Low “Championship Purple” debuted as a part of the sportswear brand’s summer 2022 lineup. This uncomplicated style has a white base complemented by purple overlays. The toe box, Nike Swoosh, eyelets, and sock liners all have a recurring purple color scheme. Other details of the silhouette include Nike branding on the tongue and heel. Last but not least, the design is rounded off with a white midsole and the titular purple outsole.
Dunk High Varsity Purple
The Nike Dunk High “Varsity Purple” was inspired by the 1999 CO.JP “City Attack” pack that was only available in Japan. Just like the original design, this one has an all-leather upper in a clean white with contrasting violet overlays. Similarly, the gold Nike logo on the sewn tongue tag is an exact replica of the original. The satin laces, satin tongue and collar lining, and lavender-hued transparent rubber outsole are all new elements.
Dunk Low OG Purple Pulse
The upper of the Nike Dunk Low OG “Purple Pulse” is constructed from white leather with suede overlays coated in a delicate over-dyed texture of violet. The suede Swoosh and Nike wordmark stitched on the heel tab are both given a deeper purple treatment. Meanwhile, the leather tag sewn into the top of the nylon tongue’s thin padding is another point of contact for Nike’s branding. A rubber cupsole secures the shoe to the foot; its concentric-circle traction pattern was designed for hard courts.
Dunk High Lakers
The Nike Dunk High “Lakers” reimagines a basketball classic in the colors of Los Angeles’s NBA champion team. The overlays and Swoosh are both a matching hue to the amber base of the upper, which is made of smooth leather. The perforated toe box and woven Nike brand above the lightweight nylon tongue are just two examples of the classic touches that adorn the high-top, which also has a color scheme that was inspired by the original. Finishing off the colorway, the sturdy rubber cupsole and the gripping purple rubber outsole make for a great combination.
Lisa Leslie x Dunk Low Sparks
Twenty years after Lisa Leslie‘s stunning slam in a WNBA game, the company commemorated the occasion with a shoe designed in her honor. In 2002, she made history by dunking for the first time during a WNBA game. Since joining the Los Angeles Sparks in 1997, she has been named to eight All-Star teams, earned three MVP honors, and helped guide the club to two WNBA titles.
The Nike Dunk Low has since dropped in a Los Angeles Sparks colorway to celebrate the historic dunk. The teal Swoosh stands out on the purple and gold outfit. The heels and tongue tags of the brand share the teal color. The heels have Leslie’s No. 9 embroidered in white and gold. On top of the black outsole is a white midsole, giving the shoe a clean look.
Dunk Low Retro Vol. 1 SP Plum
The Dunk Low Retro Vol. 1 SP “Plum,” first launched in 2001, saw a reissue of its original colorway in 2020. The purple iteration was one of three different multicolored suede Dunks released in Japan as part of a pack dubbed the “Ugly Dunkling” Pack, and it was distinguished by its two-toned purple upper with beet red accents on the swoosh, laces, logos, and soles.
A two-tone purple finish decorates the top of the buttery all-suede shoe, while dark red accents on the Swoosh, the heel tab, and the laces pay homage to the original. The low-top sneaker is cushioned and held in place by a white foam midsole and a red rubber outsole.
Dunk Low Next Nature Lilac
These Dunk Low Next Nature have a two-tone color scheme that seems like it was influenced by springtime. Overlays at the toe, tongue, and heel are a captivating lilac color that stands out against the white leather base. As if that weren’t enough, the “NIKE” branding and Swoosh on the tongue label and profiles also delight in the pastel purple hue, extending the canon of recognizable Nike Dunk designs. The sole unit, which is evocative of the Air Jordan 1, is as understated as the upper, and it has tread in the shoe’s signature lilac hue.
Dunk Low N7
The N7 line from Nike is dedicated to helping young people in Native American and Indigenous communities throughout North America. Each year, the N7 fund contributes to the development of programs that enable a greater number of these young people to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
This particular shoe from the lineup has a purple suede upper with ecstatic hand-stitched stitching all over and comes in a tricolor scheme of dark raisin, black, and white. The braided black leather that begins at the midfoot and wraps around the Swooshes to the heel tabs is another nod to the handcrafted look. Furthermore, the tan leather overlays, lace dubraes, and printed insoles are all branded with Nike N7 insignia, while the laces themselves are branded with a Swoosh. The shoe’s design is completed with a gum rubber outsole, a white midsole, and a one-of-a-kind Nike N7 shoebox.
