SwaVay Unleashes New Single And Video “Shooter”

Today, rising Atlanta rapper SwaVay has released his highly anticipated single, “Shooter,” along with its music video. The two-part track is produced by Christo (best known for his work with J.I.D), with co-production from Omar Guetfa and Jacobi X. This is his first official release of 2021 and is a teaser for his upcoming album, Almetha’s Son. It’s also his first release under his newly established CRAZYMAN, LLC.

The track begins with introspective lyrics about SwaVay’s adolescence, rise to stardom, and desire to repay his debts. He warns his enemies that, because of where he’s coming from, he will not hesitate to stop or permanently end whoever is in his way. Even though he’s had a great journey thus far, he refuses to settle. Suddenly, the beat switches into an addictive trap instrumental, which SwaVay murders with rapid and boastful bars about being the “shooter” in any situation he deems necessary. He continues to discuss his trajectory and reaffirms that he’s always going to support those who have stuck with him through everything.

The music video, courtesy of Connor Fisher and 99 Cameras, is an even more attention-grabbing feat. Fisher and SwaVay traverse a variety of locations and accomplish excellent filmography with a plethora of challenging shots and angles. The video features cameos from some of SwaVay’s closest friends and collaborators, including HADIBOYYY, Ronny DoGood, and Christo himself. Check out the music video below!
