Lil Uzi Vert finally graces fans with new—and the eagerly-awaited studio versions of some of his most popular leaks—music on his latest EP, RED & WHITE. In the weeks leading up to its release, the project’s anticipation was heightened with four pre-release singles: “Spade Cadet,” “I KNOW,” “FLEX UP,” and “HITTIN MY SHOULDER.”
Released without warning, “Space Cadet” was the first song that hinted at a larger release, originally being performed at Rolling Loud 2021 Miami. Meanwhile, the second record dubbed “I KNOW” surfaced via SoundCloud days later. For longtime fans of Uzi, the track is most familiarly recognized as “Neck On Froze” and was originally intended to release on his 2017 album Luv Is Rage 2 had it made the final cut. Similar to its predecessor, “FLEX UP” is another cut slated to appear on the album years ago and this particular track sees Lil Uzi reuniting with producer and frequent collaborator Maaly Raw.
Elsewhere on the project, production is handled by the likes of Sonny Digital, Brandon Finessin, Dun Deal, Bally, and Shaun Go Brazy among others. RED & WHITE is Lil Uzi Vert’s first full-length release since 2020’s Eternal Atake (Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World 2), which spawned a plethora of hit tracks like “Myron,” “Bean (Kobe)” featuring Chief Keef, “Yessirskiii” with 21 Savage.
