Today, multi-Platinum singer and songwriter Kehlani unveils her third studio album, blue water road. Spanning across 13 tracks, the album features Blxst, Justin Bieber, Syd, Jessie Reyez, Ambré, and Thundercat.
Pre-release singles such as “altar,” the project’s lead single which was released towards the tail-end of 2021. In February, she released the project’s second lead single “little story,” accompanied by a black-and-white music video co-directed by the singer and Alexandra Thurmond. Fast forward to March, Kehlani released her Justin Bieber-assisted track “up at night” followed by the tracklist announcement. New songs like “any given sunday,” “wish i never,” and “tangerine” serve as never-heard-before standout cuts.
blue water road serves as an official follow-up to 2020’s widely acclaimed album It Was Good Until Wasn’t. The 15-song project debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 charts with features from Jhené Aiko, Lucky Daye, James Blake, and Tory Lanez, whom the singer removed from her album months later. Standout cuts include “Toxic,” “Can I,” “Water,” and countless others. With this new project, she brings fans alike on a journey of self-awareness as she details some of her most personal moments.
