Today, DC The Don unveils his eagerly-awaited album My Own Worst Enemy via Rostrum Records. The 22-song offering introduces a split-personality to the rapper’s artistry with Rag3 Kidd and Donny. The former showcases the more melodic, emotionally-driven side of him while the latter—stylized with red hair—sees a more rapid, aggressive side of the artist.
Ahead of the album, DC The Don has been on a tear releasing impressive singles like “PSA,” “REROUT3,” and “Arrest Me,” which really show off his incredible visual prowess. The album, aside from jetsonmade, boasts no features while production is handled by the likes of 1st Class, Maajins, Sharkboy, and a whopping 30+ more. It’s his first project since 2020’s Come As You Are, his debut album that laid the groundwork for the present offering.
tI’s unclear about who is his “Own Worst Enemy,” but that’s another thing that keeps the album interesting, as it allows fans to speculate which is closer to DC’s true psyche. Listen to the album below.
Elsewhere in music, Lucky Daye calls on Lil Durk for his new song “NWA.”
