London-based Taura Lamb is fast becoming known for her stylish brand of nostalgic Pop-infused R&B. Today, she shares her latest single “Post Your Body.” The record was written almost a year ago before lockdown and poured out of Taura amidst a heartbreak, hence its playful nature.
On the track, Taura Lamb explains, “You can text someone as much as you want, you can call, you can even write a letter, but nothing is going to be the same as communicating in person. All I wanted was to be able to talk through our problems with the added bonus of a hug, so with this track I’m (half) joking that if you’re going to write a letter, post your body with it, please.”
She adds, “It was one of those songs I wrote and always had in the back of my mind but never seemed to finish. I think I fully produced two separate versions of it, then had it looked at by a super talented artist but it wasn’t quite right. Eventually, I asked ST LUNA and Stephen Paul to have a go, they did an incredible job on the production and really took it to the next level.”
The light-hearted, metaphorical lyric “say it how you want, but if it’s a letter, can you post your body with it?” wraps this notion up perfectly. Stream Taura Lamb’s new song below.
