Singer-songwriter Sofía Valdés makes her return to the spotlight with the release of her new song “I Hate The Beatles.” Directed by Satchel Lee, the accompanying visuals see Valdés reflect on the experiences of her youth and how they’ve informed her outlook on love. The

Speaking on the song, Sofía shares, “Looking back the Beatles have been incredibly instrumental in my life and those I love. Music marks a time in people’s lives and when I take time to reflect on that the constant presence is always the Beatles, but also, those times have changed and are no longer there.” She adds, “So in some ways, ‘I Hate The Beatles’ is a love song to the past, and a way for me to stop time and think about days gone by and share a piece of my life and family history with you all.”

“I Hate The Beatles” is Sofía Valdés’ first offering of the year, arriving months removed from her pop ballad “Wish You Well.” Prior to that, she unveiled her critically-acclaimed debut EP Ventura, which was praised by critics alike as one of the best releases of 2021. Now, her latest visual masterpiece sees the songstress withstanding a decaying romantic cycle.

Elsewhere in music, Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion announce their collaborative single to drop on March 11th.
