Iranian-Dutch polymath Sevdaliza has undeniably become one of our generation’s leading artistic voices through her revered sonic exploration and unrelenting pursuit to push the boundaries of art. Today, she shares her new song “High Alone” ahead of her eagerly-awaited EP.
The song signifies the arrival of a new era. Leading with a strong guitar component, “High Alone” sees her fusing new sonic elements such as psychedelic rock with her signature electronic sound that lined her critically-acclaimed ISON album. “Whisper soft, porcelain / Handle careful and restrain / To seek is to find me / We would die if we’d walk the same,” Sevdaliza croons on the opening verse.
“High Alone” months removed from the songstress’ November release of “The Great Hope Design,” which also appears on the forthcoming project. Slated to drop on February 25, Raving Dahlia serves as an instrument to provide women with their freedom of choice and ability to redefine “perfection” to ultimately achieve true liberation. In the meantime, listen to “High Alone” below.
In other music news, Joyce Wrice sings the theme song for the forthcoming Disney+ series The Proud Family.
