Toronto R&B star Savannah Ré released her sophomore EP No Weapons this past weekend. The work is a compilation of uncompromising testimonies written by the ever-evolving woman who is full of self-assurance, focus, and determination.

The six-song EP has three completely new tracks in addition to the previously released hits “About U,” “Closure,” and “Last One.” As for the latter, it’s a seductive duet with fellow Toronto musician Dylan Sinclair that’s had over 3 million streams. Savannah comes into her own on the EP’s first track, “Caution,” issuing a stern warning in her signature style of easy, breezy vocals.

Unabashed in her self-assurance, she links up with artist-producer Mez on “Bands,” where her perfect tone caresses the rhythm and flexes. The album’s closing track, “WTF,” is another excellent selection that finds her turning her suffering into affirmations of her own value. In No Weapons, Savannah fully embraces the openness that marked her Grammy-nominated 2020 debut EP Opia, further establishing herself as Toronto’s most promising new R&B singer.
