Ryan Trey Numbs The Pain In “Slide” Visuals

Rising singer-songwriter Ryan Trey releases his titillating video “Slide” to kick off the new year. Appearing on his 2021 project A 64 East Saga which boasts a lone feature from Bryson Tiller, “Slide” finds Ryan looking for an escape after a rocky fallout with his girlfriend. The visual, directed by Joshua Valle, finds the St. Louis native taking a trip to the strip club with his boys to alleviate his heartaches.

He encounters a bodacious dancer who catches his eye and lures him to the bar upon arrival. Despite his girlfriend’s pleas via texts, Ryan Trey gets a private dance and stays the entire night at the club while his friends leave him behind. Towards the end of the visual effort, a drunken Ryan finds himself in a daze, thinking he sees his girlfriend at the club when in reality, it’s the dancer who caught his attention from earlier on.

“Slide” is amongst several other vulnerable and relatable cuts off of his 14-track offering. A 64 East Saga boasts a handful of standout cuts such as “Pressure” and “It’s About A Girl,” which also got an accompanying video that has now amassed over 300K Youtube views.
