Continuing his prolific partnership with Jordan, Russell Westbrook unveils the release dates for his Why Not .5 sneaker, which arrives in four colorways. Each silhouette is inspired by aspects of his life both on and away from the court.
First up is the “Childhood” colorway, which is designed to represent the next generation of upcoming hoopers. It’s styled with a playful trio of infrared, blue, and black accents. Next on the list is the “Raging Grace” colorway which bears mostly black upper accompanied by vivid pops of pink, volt, and orange hits to nod to his aggressive-yet-smooth style of play.
The “Hype Music” colorway also comes supplied with a black base layer and is joined by an array of vibrant accents to nod to the pre-game tunes that get him going before stepping on the floor. Russell Westbrook’s final sneaker, “Inner City” is in collaboration with his fashion imprint Honor the Gift and pays homage to his upbringing. The latter of which the release date is to be announced, but given the other drops, we might expect this to arrive sometime in late April or May.
Releasing on respective dates, the “Childhood” pair is slated to drop on March 1, followed by the “Raging Grace” colorway launching on March 15, while the “Hype Music” colorway will release on April 5th via Nike’s website and select retailers.
