Today, R&B singer-songwriter Rileyy Lanez releases her stunning new single “Blessings.” It’s joined by an accompanying music video directed by Josephine Cardoni that finds the New York-based songstress tapping into a new element.
Rileyy released her song “4 U” in December, which was a love message to her sweetheart. An accompanying Sky Rizzo-directed video wonderfully portrays the song’s underlying emotion. She had previously released “When I See You (Lamont’s Song),” a homage to her father, who died tragically in a shooting six years before. She also appeared on 50 Cent’s “Part of the Game,” the official theme song for Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
This new record marks Rileyy Lanez’s much-awaited return and she proves the wait to be worth it. “I gave you blessings (blessings), but you took me straight through hell / Who taught you to love yourself,” she gracefully sings in the chorus.
