As revealed in Forbes’ 2022 “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” list, Rihanna is officially the youngest self-made billionaire in the United States with a worth of $1.4 billion USD.
Her overall ranking on the list is the 21st highest-paid woman, serving as the only one under 40, which is quite impressive. The list notes that her wealth comes “thanks to the success of cosmetics line Fenty Beauty” in addition to having a 30% stake in her Savage x Fenty and being a co-owner of French luxury retailer LVMH. Meanwhile, music and music-related activities seemingly didn’t generate as much revenue given how lucrative other industries can be and of course, the fact that Rih hasn’t dropped an album since 2016’s ANTI.
Other celebrities on the list of self-made women are Kylie Jenner for her cosmetics line Kylie Cosmetics ($600 million), Beyoncé for music ($450 million), Kim Kardashian for her shapewear brand SKIMS and reality TV ($1.8 billion), Oprah Winfrey for TV shows ($2.6 billion), Serena Williams for tennis ($260 million), Madonna for music ($575 million), Kris Jenner for cosmetics ($230 million) and several more. The full list, comprised of 100 names, can be seen here.
Earlier this year, Rihanna welcomed her first child with boyfriend and rapper A$AP Rocky with the two of them having a boy. She announced the pregnancy back in January, which many fans seemingly picked up on her belly bump prior, and gave birth in May.
