Toronto’s Portion continues his rise to acclaim with the release of his new song “Letter From Miami.” The record marks the musician’s second official track of the year as he reflects on his past and future.

Speaking on the release, he says, “‘Letter From Miami’ is a letter to my fans, friends, and family. I’m reflecting on where I’ve come from to where I’m headed. The verses were written a year apart so you can hear the difference in my thought process on the journey. I’m making a point to touch on those who believed I was far gone or disconnected when really I was trying to stay grounded and focused.”

“Letter From Miami” comes off the heels of the rapper’s surefire collaboration with Toosii on “Eastside.” Since its release back in April, the video has amassed over 200K views on YouTube and over half a million global streams. Both records are slated to be on Portion’s forthcoming project, I Am Nothing Without (Trench Baby Deluxe), out later this year in June. It serves as the deluxe edition to his 2020 full-length release of the same name, which helmed songs like “99 Prblms” and “Wave,” a record recently featured on hip hop podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game.
