Toronto-born producer Pitt Tha Kid is making hits. The five-time Platinum RIAA beatmaker has had the chance to work with a plethora of artists, including Travis Scott, NAV, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug to name a few. Although his journey is years in the making, the Barbados-raised producer has gradually built a formidable catalog that one can appreciate. Most recently, Pitt Tha Kid put out his debut single “RUN” featuring Lil Wayne and Taleban Dooda ahead of his forthcoming album.

Pitt Tha Kid stopped by to break down some of his production credits over the previous year. Some of those include Anuel AA, Young Thug, Jaden, and himself amongst others. Check out our conversation with Pitt Tha Kid below.

Anuel AA & Ozuna – La Maria

I remember being interviewed at the beginning of last year on the radio and they asked who I wanted to work with, I said it would be a dream to work with any of the big Latin artists including Ozuna. One year later and it happened. Was working with my bro FortyOneSix and got the call we had something big. Next thing I know I was a part of a record with not only Ozuna but also Anuel AA on their collaboration album. It’s a huge blessing and I’m truly grateful, much love to producers Forty and Foreign Teck.

Young Thug – “Boy Back”

Life definitely changed after this song came out. I was very much on a guitar wave after seeing an influx of guitar beats on rap records, I grew up playing guitar so I made an effort to lock in and create guitar loops that were unique and would stand out. The Boy back melody is one of my favorites for sure and I’m glad Thug and Nav could vibe on it. Shoutout to Mustard and his whole camp, I grew up listening to Mustard beats so it was an honor to work with him.

Mike WiLL Made-It – “Kill ‘Em With Success”

For this one, I worked with producers BRackz and CMillz who were connected with Mike Will. This was probably my first major placement, and the first song I was a part of that was featured in a studio film. I remember going to the theatre and seeing my name on the end credits was a crazy feeling. Being a fan of the original Creed movie it was cool to be a part of the second film and on the soundtrack.

Pitt Tha Kid – “RUN”

A lot of people don’t know I was djing before I was a producer. I used to host parties in college and looking up to legends like DJ Khaled and Dr. Dreit was always a dream of mine to release my own singles as a DJ/Producer. My goal is always to bring the best out of artists, with my single RunI see it as a warm-up and introduction to my artist side as a producer. I’m again very grateful to have Wayne on the song and my brotherTaleban Dooda is one of the hottest rappers coming up right now about to be major, I felt it was a perfect fit. I have a lot more music in store this is just the first song, excited for people to hear it. Stay tuned

Jaden – “Pass”

This was another musical idea on guitar I had sent over to Jaden’s camp and it has resonated with them. I was listening to a lot of Travis Scott at the time and was inspired by that sound and vibe when the song was made. This is one of my favorite beats musically I’ve been a part of for sure and Jaden really shined on it.
