Today, acclaimed singer-songwriter Noah Cyrus releases her new single alongside its accompanying video “I Burned LA Down.” Produced by The 1975 collaborator Mike Crossey, the track arrives ahead of her forthcoming debut album The Hardest Part, slated to drop later this year in July.

As one of her first solo offerings in over a year, “I Burned LA Down” arrives after her 2021 collaborative effort with PJ Harding aptly titled People Don’t Change. The 6-track project came weeks removed from the singer’s collab with Demi Lovato, “Easy,” which has since then amassed 2.3 million YouTube views to date. Prior to that, she partnered with Spotify for their Spotify Singles installment, with Cyrus covering Bon Iver’s 2007 song “Re: Stacks.”

“You left a hole in my chest when you left / And my heart followed you out the door,” she sings. During the chorus, Noah Cyrus croons, “‘Cause you didn’t care, no, you didn’t care / Yeah, I burned LA down and you left me there.” Watch the music video below.
