NLE Choppa Calls On Moneybagg Yo For “Too Hot”
NLE Choppa and Moneybagg Yo are amongst the few artists to come out of Memphis these past few years and subsequently stay relevant to both the youth and hip-hop culture. Both artists have not only been on a monumental run in terms of music releases, but the former has been dropping spiritual gems and giving back to his community. Today, the pair connect for “Too Hot” off of Choppa’s forthcoming Me vs. Me album.
The track hangs on a propulsive 808-driven trap beat and formidable bass line. Right out of the gate, NLE Choppa launches into a fast-paced flow punctuated by quotable bars. Towards the latter of the song, Moneybagg Yo pulls up with a hard-hitting verse of his own. “Thinkin’ that I’m getting too hot, got two Glocks on each side of my crotch,” Choppa opens.
Me vs. Me is slated to drop next Friday on January 21 via Warner Records. The 16-track offering boasts features from G Herbo, Polo G, and Young Thug. Pre-release singles such as “Mmm Hmm,” “Jumpin,” and the recently released “Drop Shit” appear on the project as well, collectively gaining over 26 million YouTube views to date. While his numbers continue to jump, hopefully, this year turns out to be a good one for NLE Choppa. Listen to “Too Hot” below.
