NBA YoungBoy Skates On “Fish Scale” Video
NBA YoungBoy has nothing to prove at this point. With a cult-like fan base and billions of streams, he’s solidified himself as one of the most prominent names in today’s hip-hop. After a series of singles and releases, he shares his latest single and its accompanying video “Fish Scale.”
YoungBoy spent a good portion of 2021 incarcerated, but still shared quite a good bit of music along with visuals. In September, he released his third studio album via Atlantic Records titled Sincerely, Kentrell. Initially slated to drop in May of that year, the project was severely delayed and despite not being out yet, it hit #1 on the Apple Music Charts. Songs like “Bad Morning,” “Nevada,” and “Life Support” quickly rose to viral triumph, some being songs fans have been yearning for years.
To close off the year, he teamed up with Cash Money Records and Birdman to drop their joint project From The Bayou. It served as his first release since being released from jail and consists of previously released singles from other projects of NBA YoungBoy’s, along with a couple of unreleased singles. Despite this being a collaboration mixtape, eight out of the thirteen tracks consist of solo YoungBoy songs, with the other featuring Birdman.
“Fish Scale” is NBA YoungBoy’s first drop of the year, and just like all his releases, it does massive numbers. The visual has already amassed over 2.1 million YouTube views, with the description stating “new tape [in] less than 2 weeks.” While we wait on the new project, watch the video below.
