Murda Beatz Calls On Blxst & Wale For “One Shot” Visuals

Published by Malcolm Trapp

As teased earlier in the week, Murda Beatz drops his brand new single “One Shot” featuring 2021 XXL Freshman Blxst and multi-Platinum rapper Wale. Accompanied by a music video directed by madebyJAMES (Snoop Dogg, Big Sean), Murda acts as a referee and the featured artists are head coaches in a competitive game of basketball.

While each team is trying to score to win, the song is a play on words to shoot your shot romantically and not miss out on a moment. The new single arrives as a part of Murda’s new distribution agreement with ADA Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent label and artist services arm. “Yeah you only get one shot not two, / But either way I’m winning if it’s not you, if it’s not you,” Blxst sings on the chorus.

Wale kicks off the first verse with some smooth lyricism about what he looks for in a woman while tossing in a few smooth one-liners. Blxst follows suit in the latter verse, kicking game per usual through his haunting vocals and lyrical prowess. The clip clocks in just over three minutes and Murda Beatz gives his best referee impression throughout the entirety of it, occasionally kicking it with the guys and having a fun time.
