Months from the release of her debut EP Alien in 2020, London songstress MORGAN connects with fellow rising artist Jevon for her the release of their infectious single “Behave.”
“Writing ‘Behave’ with Zdot, Gina Kushka and Krunchie was so much fun,” MORGAN enthuses. “The day I got into the studio with them I knew I wanted to write an RnDrill tune. I absolutely love singing on Drill – I think it’s beautiful and you don’t hear it enough. I also wanted to make sure the track was vulnerable lyrically and conceptually. I feel like music isn’t vulnerable anymore so hopefully I brought that back a little bit. It’s such a human feeling yet it is such a taboo topic nowadays.”
She continues: “Having Jevon jump on this track is such a privilege. Not only is he such a talented artist and producer, he took the track to another level with his verse and I love the fact he decided to sing instead of rap. I’m so excited I get to finally share this single with you all.”
Accompanying the single, the two artists also connected for the visual effort which clocks in over four minutes. The cinematic cut opens to the songstress attending a funeral service for her former lover. It is certainly some of her best work so far, as the two trade vocals over a smooth-yet-punchy drill beat.
