London singer-songwriter MORGAN unveils her latest single and its accompanying video “You’re Worth It.” Directed by frequent collaborator Kassandra Powell, the nearly four-minute cut shows the songstress in a vulnerable and unconfident light, but as the song progresses she begins to radiate empowering energy that’s celebrated with bursts of dance, movement, and positive attitude.
“I tear up every time I watch this video. It’s full of so many different emotions—pain, happiness, self-love, power, movement, diversity… I really wanted to make the effort to include many types of people in this video and for them to truly be the stars in it, considering what the song is actually about—loving yourself no matter what shape, size, ethnicity, gender, or identity you are,” MORGAN shares on the visuals. “Kassandra Powell is an incredible director, she actually directs most of my music videos, and her vision for it just elevated the message I want to portray. It’s my favorite video to date and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”
“You’re Worth It” arrives months removed after the re-release of her single “ADCT,” one of her earlier works that since its resurgence on TikTok, has amassed a whopping five million streams and 1.5 million YouTube views to date. Prior to that, she released the music video for her Kasien-assisted single “Nobody Else” and before that she dropped “Behaved” featuring Jevon.
She adds, “I wrote ‘You’re Worth It’ about self-love. Despite this being something that I have emphasized on for as long as I remember, it’s been something I really have been trying to focus and instill in my daily life recently so it comes from a deep place in my heart.”
If her latest offering tells us anything, it’s that 2022 is looking like an exciting year for MORGAN. Watch the music video for “You’re Worth It” below.
