Rising Houston artist Monaleo releases her new song “Body Bag” this week, coinciding with the commencement of Flo Milli‘s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tour.
The video is set at “Monaleo’s Meat Market,” and it serves as a message to her rivals. She raps, “it’s a marathon, not a race,” and the rap phenomenon promises to be around for the long haul. Directed by Chris Villa, the two-minute visuals show off her bravado and elite lyricism over Rocaine production.
This year, Monaleo and Flo Milli collaborated on a new version of “We Not Humping,” which quickly became a viral sensation and spent three weeks at the top of the TikTok Trending charts. The song established a strong connection between the pair, and it led to the 17-show North American tour that she’s opening for. She had previously played at Rolling Loud NY some months ago, where she debuted “Suck it Up” and “Beating Down Yo Block,” the latter of which became a viral breakup hymn.
