London-based singer-songwriter Miso Extra unveils “Great Taste,” the titular track from her forthcoming EP. The track, which features vocalist Nayana IZ, thursts her further into the spotlight as she explores optimism and uncertainty of the future over the glitchy, composite production.
“‘Great Taste’ explores the realizing that your current state of being might not always be the best and that if nothing changes the future ahead isn’t appealing; if anything terrifying,” Miso explains. “It’s expressing a desire to join hands with those who want to follow their dreams and enter an alternate future. Nayana IZ was able to bring her incredible wisdom of words to the table and further iterates the bittersweet struggles of self-development.”
“Great Taste” joins other pre-release singles like “Deep Fried,” “1013,” and “Adventures of Tricky ‘n’ Duke,” making that all but one song preceding the full-length project. The final song, aptly titled “Tadori,” acts as the ending to the EP while also exploring the incessant objectification of women. Out this Friday, Great Taste will continue her momentum as an exciting name in the music space. In the meantime, listen to Miso Extra’s latest single below.
