Multifaceted pop phenomenon Lolo Zouaï is back with her new single “Blur.” The song, which serves as her second offering of 2022, sees the singer breaking the rules of relationships as she carols about a time she spent with her crush despite having a boyfriend.

“Isn’t it cool? Breaking the rules? / Hey, I got a man but I want you, baby / Isn’t it fun? Who cares if you’re the one,” she sings in the pre-chorus. Lolo continues, “Last night was a blur (Blur) / Let’s stay ’til the morning / Bet you call me your girl. The record continues to travel down a new era of her artistry, one that channels moody and seductive energy whilst also sprinkling bits of romance throughout.

“Blur” comes only weeks after the release of “Give Me a Kiss,” which serves as the lead single from the French-American singer and songwriter’s second studio album set to drop later this year. The pop-noir visual directed by Loris Russier, whose previously worked with Audrey Nuna and Ella Mai, garnered 223K YouTube views in the month following its release.

This summer, Lolo will be performing at Les Ardentes Festival in Belgium on July 10th, Les Vieilles Charrues Festival in France on July 17th and will cap off the month by rejoining Dua Lipa in Canada, playing Montreal on July 25th, and bringing the show run to a close in Toronto on July 27th.

Lolo Zouaï is seemingly on pace to become one of this year’s rising pop stars with much more music to come. Listen to “Blur” below.
