Lil Durk‘s eagerly-awaited seventh studio album 7220 was initially slated to be released today, February 22nd, but was ultimately pushed back to March 11th. In the meantime, he drops a new song and video off the project titled “AHHH HA,” where he responds to his detractors with subliminal disses.
In the opening verse, Durk seemingly addresses rapper NBA YoungBoy, rapping: “Just got out the feds, you bring up murders with your police ass / I told Von to leave that bitch alone, she posts on OnlyFans (Yeah, eater).” He references the Baton Rouge native’s weapon charges and how he subsequently waited to be on house arrest before sending shots at fellow O Block members and artists, particularly in his song “Colors” and “Brick The Hook.” Furthermore, Lil Durk mentions YoungBoy’s baby mother Jania Mashell, noting that he told King Von to leave her alone prior to his death in late 2020.
Elsewhere in the verse, Lil Durk also references his late brother D-Thang: “My brother D-Thang just got killed and I been slow since (Gang, gang) / But we got back on they ass, I bet they know this (Brrah).” He also acknowledges disses about him using autotune and singing in some of his songs, replying with “You can believe whatever you want, I got your folks hit.”
