Kenneth Cash Is Injecting His Youthful Spirit Into R&B

In the music industry, it’s extremely rare to come across a radiant voice within R&B and Soul offering that not only writes and records, but produces their own music. That’s where Kenneth Cash comes into the mix, using his ethereal vocals to sweep fans off their feet.

Born in New York, Kenneth spent the majority of his childhood in Brooklyn and Dallas—two bubbling music scenes on different ends of the country. Drawing influences from Kanye West, Steve Lacey, and Pharrell as well as his late grandfather, music serves as a vehicle for self-expression for Kenneth Cash. The R&B starlet came on the scene in late-2020, featuring on frequent collaborator and fellow BK artist AKTHESAVIOR’s “Be Back Soon” and more recently, “Lil Soldier.” With an original and intransigent sound, Kenneth almost instantly caught the eyes and ears of many.

To kick off 2022, Kenneth unveiled “Patience (B-Side),” which is a rendition of the song of the same name which was previously released back in December. A peeled-back version of the initial release, the record serves as the original composition for one of his most vulnerable records to date. Prior to that, Cash released singles like “In Effect” and “The Right Place” earlier in that year, both being completely unapologetic through and through. Arguably one of the Brooklyn native’s most championed songs is none other than his 2020 debut “Stickyola.” The single has roughly a million streams and YouTube views across all platforms and for his first release, it really put all eyes on the newcomer.

Without a doubt, the R&B genre has spawned several talented musicians carving out their own lane and shaping the global landscape day by day. Kenneth Cash is amongst the few to deliver carefully penned lyrics and fine-tuned melodies that capture vulnerability and truth in their essence.
