Kendrick Lamar has finally announced that his highly-awaited fifth studio album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is out on May 13.

Back in August 2021, Kendrick teased his return with a new website—oklama.com—explaining that the full-length release would be his last release with TDE. On the site, he stated, “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”

Since the release of DAMN., Lamar has notably worked on the Black Panther soundtrack and collaborated with his cousin, Baby Keem, appearing on tracks like “family ties” from Keem’s debut LP The Melodic Blue. Furthermore, the rapper also performed at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem, and more.
