KAWS and The North Face have come together for their highly-anticipated collaboration “XX KAWS.” The two brands create a special range that boasts abstract camouflage and a bright color palette, including pieces like the 1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket and the 1994 Mountain Light Jacket amongst others.

The capsule was teased earlier this week via KAWS’ Instagram, sharing with fans the Mountain Jacket complete with X’s and bright red and black panels at the shoulders of the piece. This time around, TNF and KAWS created the special range to blur the lines between on-and-off mountain performance and style, adapting contemporary art to fit the frequent stream of outerwear.

The entirety of the range is marked by KAWS’ signature eye-catching, abstract patterns, accented by an extensive bright and bold color palette. The pieces found in the collaboration serve as plays on the theme of perception and visibility. Cobranding for both clothing labels can be found all across the “XX KAWS” collection, which comes in quite a handful of men’s, women’s, and youth styles.

This past year, KAWS has had a long list of collaborations from Reeses Puffs cereal, CDG on their MIRROR perfume, and Nike as well as Supreme on a range of apparel drops. The KAWS x The North Face “XX KAWS” collection will be available through an official mini program and at 82 retail stores starting January 7.
