R&B singer and songwriter Joyce Wrice returns to the spotlight with her latest single “Iced Tea.” Enlisting former collaborator KAYTRANADA, the song sees Wrice’s enchanting vocals gliding over the instrumentals. “Sweetest deceiver, biting on the hand that feeds ya,” she sings.
“Iced Tea” is Joyce Wrice’s first official release since her critically-acclaimed debut album Overgrown in 2021, which boasts features from Masego, Freddie Gibbs, UMI, and Westside Gunn amongst others. Earlier this year, she was announced as the theme song vocalist for the Disney+ series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Her latest single is just a glimpse of what the singer-songwriter has in store for this year.
Later this week, Wrice embarks on the 26-date North American Candydrip tour as direct support for her “Falling In Love” collaborator and 2022 GRAMMY nominee Lucky Daye. The show run kicks off in Portland on March 18th with stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Toronto before coming to a close in New York on April 23rd.
