Toronto singer Jon Vinyl welcomes the new year with his latest single “Don’t Care.” His first release coming off the heels of last year’s Lost In You, the record narrates a relationship that has left Vinyl feeling unheard and disconnected. As a result of short-lived discomfort and heartbreak, the singer finds courage and confidence in the soothing anthem.
Speaking on the song, Vinyl shares, “I’m beyond thrilled to be dropping this track for the world to experience as the first of a new era in my artistry. ‘Don’t Care’ is a summary of my venture through an uncomfortable breakup.”
He adds, My last project, Lost In You centered around the ups and downs of trying to please my girl and all the work I had put into making things work. After all the trials and tribulations we endured, we decided to end the relationship and go our separate ways. I’m sure—after hearing this new track—you can see that I’m clearly struggling to cope with my emotions, but I feel like she’s too far gone and doesn’t care.”
Jon Vinyl is currently preparing for a tremendous run this year. In the meantime, listen to “Don’t Care” below.
