John Legend is back with his latest single, “Honey,” in collaboration with R&B star Muni Long. The record is filled with a number of sexual innuendos relating to honey as the song’s title hints. Production is handled by the likes of Mr. Franks, Ryan Tedder, TBHits, and Lindgren while Justin Bieber collaborators HARV and Aldae assist on the pen game.

“Honey makes the world go ’round / The world go ’round / Ain’t it, lovely / The way it flow when I go down,” John Legend sings in the opening verse. On the latter, Muni Long’s silky vocals grace the mic as she sings, “Don’t you love that golden glisten / When you put your fingers in this / Orange box, some honeycomb? / It’s waitin’ for you when you get home.”

“Honey” arrives on the heels of John Legend’s single and video “Dope,” which was released last month. The song, which features JID, saw him collaborating with the rapper for the first time. In a very similar fashion, this record sees the iconic musician passing the torch to the younger, more current wave of artists. Muni Long, on the other hand, recently collaborated with Saweetie for her song “Baby Boo” and also dropped songs like “Another” in anticipation of her deluxe project later this year.
