Jamaican-born singer and songwriter Jada Kingdom releases her brand new single and music video aptly titled “Jungle.” It notably marks the first release under her newly inked deal with Republic Records.

On the release, Jada shares, “‘Jungle’ is an up-close and personal look into what growing up in Jamaica was for me. Most of the things I speak about in the song lyrics and that you see in the video are actually real-life situations that I’ve seen and or been a victim of.”

The track strikes a sweet spot between reggae and dancehall spiked with a touch of American drill while the lyrics reveal the depths of Jada’s songwriting. Rowdy horns pipe up as she dips in and out of confessional verses inflected by island flavor. The accompanying visual-only just begins to tell her story as it showcases her eye-popping style and raw energy.
