Jamaican-born singer-songwriter Jada Kingdom uses “GPP,” a track produced by Di Genius, to stretch the boundaries of balladry. If you’re wondering what “Good Pussy Problems” are, Ms. Jada has the perfect explanation. A ring or a splurging spree might happen with the right guy.
However, as usual, Jada advises listeners on what might happen when you share your treasures with the wrong guy and he resorts to harassment as a method of prolonging the relationship with her coded rhymes laced with duality. In the song’s latter verse, she croons, “Try nuh bother feel too special / You were just another play thing / See yuh excited but to tell yuh the truth I was faking, this drive yuh crazy but I’m not your lady, intoxicated a di rum that don’t blame me.”
Jada Kingdom debuted her New Motion EP back in June of this year. Jada’s words are equally as daring as the island-inspired sound. Throughout the album, the songstress bares everything about her life’s struggles and successes, as well as her experiences with love, motherhood, and being a woman, all while weaving in infectious rhythms and catchy choruses. As a result, she positions herself as a formidable voice and pen.
