Coming off the bat of February’s “Nail Tech,” which happened to be his first release of the year, Jack Harlow announces the release of his forthcoming sophomore album Come Home The Kids Miss You. In conjunction with the announcement, the rapper also shares his new single and video aptly titled “First Class.”
As teased via Twitter a week prior to the song’s release, “First Class” takes on a more R&B-laden production, sampling the pre-chorus of Fergie’s 2009 smash hit and Ludacris-assisted track “Glamorous.” The original song, which was produced by will.i.am and Polow da Don, was certified 3X Platinum by RIAA in 2016. On Jack Harlow’s new track, he raps “I got plaques in the mail, peak season / Shout out to my UPS workers, makin’ sure I receive ’em / You could do it too, believe it.”
Come Home The Kids Miss You is slated to drop on May 6th and serves as a follow-up to his critically-acclaimed debut album That’s What They All Say, which was released in 2020. It arrives after a relatively quiet 2021 in terms of music releases from Jack Harlow, with his only single as a lead artist being “SUVs (Black on Black)” featuring Pooh Shiesty. In the meantime, listen to “First Class” below.
