Intimates label Cuccia creates underwear essentials designed to celebrate the beauty of all bodies with standout pieces that are just as comfortable as they are flattering.
Founded by designer Rachal Cuccia, the undergarments are created to not only visually stand out but maintain fundamental underwear needs such as flexibility, comfort, and sustainable fabrics. On the genesis of the brand, she says, “What drives me the most is the process of designing unique underwear shapes and choosing fabrics that feel ‘right’ alongside creating imagery that expresses the dualities of femininity and nostalgic of the imagery inspiring me I saw growing up.” Most of the pieces are created from deadstock fabrics or recycled materials such as bamboo, further ensuring that there’s no overproduction.
Cuccia’s core range is comprised of thongs, g-strings, briefs, and bras. Soft cotton, organic bamboo, and lace dominate most of the lineup, with two-tone color blocking splashed onto the thongs, and 90s-inspired lace appearing on some of the label’s panty offerings. The brand’s signature Vita Thong comes in three color options: black and red, black and white, as well as red and white in a mix of cotton and spandex for stretch. The Piano G-String boasts a similar design pattern, arriving in black and white hues in addition to its organic bamboo spandex blend. Other standout garments include the high hip-styled Marietta Lace Thong and the minimal coverage Soprano Bamboo Thong.
Elsewhere, the intimates brand’s Lioni Thong dons an airy sheer mesh fabric that dips down in the front for a chic, but extremely comfortable fit. Drawing inspiration from the classic V shape thong of the 90s, the Prima Bamboo Thong takes on a lightweight semi-transparent material derived from sustainable bamboo. Its material allows for roughly three times more breathability and moisture than cotton, making this the perfect everyday staple. Rounding out the collection, the limited-edition Verona Lace Bra serves as a great pairing for any of the label’s other lace offerings.
