“In the Heights” will hit theaters, and HBO Max, next month and fans alike are excited. The adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical is slated to open on June 11. Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu linked up with Miranda to create the film adaptation, which makes the film even much better.
“In the Heights” includes actors such as Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, and Noah Catala (who plays Grafitti Pete) amongst others. Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Gregory Diaz IV, and Jimmy Smits are also a part of the film, which tells the story of a New York City bodega owner who saves his money in hopes of a better life. On-screen, Noah plays a pesky street artist in Washington Heights. Off-screen, he tears up the dance floor regularly in Spanish Harlem. Luckily, you’ll get to see him do both as Graffiti Pete in Lin Manuel’s new film above.
