IDK Releases His New EP ‘Simple’

Maryland-based rapper IDK unloads his eagerly-awaited new EP, Simple. Executive produced by KAYTRANADA, the 8-song offering contains features from Denzel Currey and Mike Mikes.

The EP helms pre-release tracks like “Dog Food” featuring Denzel Currey as well as “Taco,” which serves as the lead single. Meanwhile, new songs like “Drugstore” and “Zaza Tree” appear on the project with the cover art being designed by Li Bolin.

Simple follows the release of 2020’s USE4YOURSELF, the rapper’s sophomore studio album since inking a deal with Warner Records. The project, which spans 14 songs, boasts appearances from T-Pain, Young Thug, Rico Nasty, Sevyn Streeter, and Lucky Daye amongst others. With this new project, IDK states that it’s about “about amplifying collectability in the world of art as it pertains to music.” Prior to the release, he collaborated with collectible store Rap Trading for a collection of 8 trading cards which were designed after each song title.

Elsewhere in music, Philadelphia’s Kur is the city’s beacon of possibility in hip-hop.
