Founded by Renell Medrano, Ice Studios is an emerging label is to keep on your radar. Whether it be through your favorite celebrity or Instagram archive, there’s a chance you’ve seen the brand somewhere on your timeline.
Arguably one of the biggest photographers from the Bronx, Medrano has an extensive resume that speaks for itself. Often celebrated for paving a way for other creatives, her clients include Dior, Fenty, Louis Vuitton, and Calvin Klein to name a few. Naturally, creating clothes came as another form of creative expression. Thus, she launched Ice Studios and since then, it’s grown quite a bit. “Making clothes for fun to put on friends circling back to when I first started taking photographs I would find anything in my closet to dress my friends in and made it into something,” she shared via Instagram.
Comprised of five items, Ice Studios’ FW ’21 collection is covered with the creative’s original photographs that capture various different aspects of New York fashion and contemporary style. Cementing its presence as a fashion-forward label, a cargo skirt is dressed in neutral-like hues of army green, with pockets on the side. Adding to the range of bottoms, the Rezno Pants arrive in orange while the Headband Tee complements the collection in both a navy and gray option. Elsewhere, the Sequin Swim set rounds out the drop in ice blue and purple.
Providing a bold touch, the clothing label’s first drop of the new year came in the form of the Flinstone Knit Beanies—donating proceeds to families impacted by the Bronx apartment fire. Just like the previous offerings from Ice Studios, new styles are designed by the brand and sell out quickly. Celebrities such as Justine Skye, Bella Hadid, and Raven Tracy are amongst the several to be spotted wearing pieces from the label, further propelling the brand into popularity.
With plenty in store for the future, the fashion label is certainly a contender for one of the most exciting new brands to keep a lookout for. You can head to Ice Studios website to shop for the new arrivals.
