In case you missed it, Hope Tala is back this week with the official video for her highly anticipated new single “Leave It On The Dancefloor.”
Eliot Lee‘s film depicts Hope and “The Students in Detention at Talatown High School” doing nothing productive as the time ticks away. They shake off the monotony, however, and do a great job of transferring the song’s upbeat, danceable vibe to the screen. Just in time for the start of the school year, this bite-sized piece of pop escape artfully holds on to the summertime mood.
“Leave It On The Dancefloor” follows the powerful and moving “Is It Enough,” which was released last month. Hope has been a highlight at a number of festivals this summer. These include Glastonbury, Pharrell’s Something In The Water Festival, and others. Then, on October 14 and 15, she’ll serve as the support act for Florence + The Machine at the Hollywood Bowl, and on November 18, she’ll make her Corona Capital Festival debut.
