Today, Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs unveils his new song and music video for “Ice Cream.” Featuring Rick Ross, the two-minute cut is produced by Kenny Beats and interpolates Raekwon’s 1995 song of the same name.
“Nigga took it from the box Chevy to the Bentley coupe (Skrrt) / All night servin’ hard white, nigga, P Miller in the Diddy suit (Yeah),” Freddie opens the track. Rick Ross comes through on the latter verse, rapping, “She told me I’m the richest nigga that she ever met / Twenty thou’ Balenciagas, I ain’t wear ’em yet.”
Currently, Gibbs is working on his forthcoming fifth studio album, which will also be his first major-label album release under his newly inked partnership with Warner Records. Aptly titled Soul Sold Separately, a handful of snippets have been teased since its initial announcement in 2021, and it looks like we’re finally getting closer to the project’s release.
