Today sees the release of “Not My Job” by FLO, the London-based female trio currently sweeping R&B lovers off their feet. Coinciding with this release, the group was named as a Global Up Next artist on Apple Music, a program designed to discover, highlight, and promote promising new talent.
“We are obsessed with ‘Not My Job’ and feel like every single day we say ‘it’s not my job’ to someone. Everyone solves issues other people have created, whether it’s in a romantic relationship, family drama or at work, and sometimes you just gotta say, ‘It’s really not my job,'” says FLO regarding the song. “It was pretty cool that Kelly Rowland came into our session when we were putting the finishing touches on our vocals with MNEK in LA. She knows the job!”
Since its summer release, the critically acclaimed debut EP by the British girl group, The Lead, has amassed over 15 million streams and won the group a legion of new fans, including R&B royalty Brandy, girl group dynasty Kelly Rowland, and legendary producer Timbaland. Along with “Immature” and “Cardboard Box,” the band also released a video for “Summertime” a while back.
